A Rap group called Blahzay Blahzay have accused Hip Hop star Wyclef Jean of stealing one of their beats and using it on his own record.TMZ reported that the hip-hop group are claiming for a $2m (£1.5m) lawsuit against Wycelf.
The members of rap group claimed that Wycelf asked them for permission to sample their song 'Danger' on his 2007 album The Carnival.
The group agreed based on the terms that Wycelf featured them on his album. However the group reported that this term was never met and Wycelf used the song regardless and send them a cheque.
The rappers added that they rejected and returned the cheque.
Blahzay Blahzay first filed the suit in 2009 and apparently entered into settlement negotiations with Wycelf. However the group decided to resubmit the lawsuit again after the talks fell through.
