Pop Rock singer Avril Lavigne has announced details of her new album and single release.
The singer's fourth studio album Goodbye Lullaby, will be released in the US on March 8 2011.
"I pushed myself and didn’t hold back. I allowed myself to be vulnerable. I think it’s during the real moments that people can relate the most," said Lavigne in a press release to promote the new album and single.
"Those who have heard the album have had very strong emotional reactions to the songs, so I realised that when something is so real it will probably touch somebody. The beauty of music is that it’s open to interpretation."
"The album is about how we all go through difficult experiences, whether it’s ending a relationship, losing a job, or just missing someone. We get through it and we grow."
