Nicola Roberts is the next Girls Aloud star to go solo as it has been reported the singer signed a solo record deal with Universal.According to the News of the World, the Girls Aloud star was offered a huge contract with Universal and has already recorded the majority of her debut album expected for released in 2011.
A source revealed: "Everyone's so excited about Nicola releasing her own album. She's very quietly been recording in the studio for the last few months. She's working with some great people and coming up with some great stuff."
"She's being guided by a lot of people who have been involved with Girls Aloud in the past so it's going to be a great record."
The former Sugababes star congratulated and claimed that she had been pushing Roberts to go solo for a long time via Twitter.
She wrote: "Congrats 2 Nicola (GA) Ive been pushing her 2 go solo 4 a while now lol I think she'll do brill. Gonna meet & play her my stuff soon 2 whoop!".
