In the most interesting charting battle of this year, Kanye West's new album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy has stormed the US album chart.The rapper's fifth studio album sold 518,775 copies in its first week beating the most talked about female rapper Nicki Minaj. Minaj's album Pink Friday sold 371,049 settling for the number two spot.
U.S Country singer, Taylor Swift's album Speak Now saw a sudden increase in sells of 71% charting from the number nine to the number three spot, whilst heartthrob Justin Bieber's acoustic album My Worlds debut at number seven.
R&B singer Ne-Yo also charted at number eight with album Libra Scale selling 117,000 units.
