Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am is reportedly planning to take the X Factor reject Cher Lloyd "under his wing".
The Sun newspaper printed that Lloyd was comforted by the rapper/producer after she was eliminated from the show on Sunday night.
A source revealed, "He vowed to help her grow and develop as a recording artist. Will also spoke to her family, promising them he'll try to make her a star."
The Daily Star newspaper revealed that Lloyd may even snub offers from Simon Cowell to spend more time with the star.
Will.i.am. has expressed his fears that Lloyd will become "too bubblegum" if she doesn't work with the right people.
"I wanted to sign [her] as I left the Judges' Houses," he said. "I'd make edgy hip-hop with a bit of pop and electro thrown in."
