US rapper Gucci Mane has been ordered to enter a psychiatric facility in Georgia while awaiting a hearing into his mental competency.The rapper was arrested in November on traffic charges which were later dropped however Gucci was still ordered to court to answer for a previous crime.
Entertainment Weekly reported that on December 27, his lawyers filed a Special Plea of Mental Incompetency stating that Mane was "to go forward and/or intelligently participate in the probation revocation hearing".
A judge at Fulton County Superior Court on Tuesday sent Mane to an Atlanta hospital leading up to the hearing.
