X Factor Voting Results Released

The official X Factor weekly voting figures have been released.

The results show that Matt Cardle was in the lead every week after week 2 of the show, whilst Mary Byrne's standing ovation performance got her the lead in week 1 .

The results also revealed Treyc Cohen should have gone on to Week 5 if the judges didn't save Katie Waissel as she had the lowest votes. If down to the public vote Mary Byrne would have been in the finals if Cher Lloyd had not been saved by the judges during the semi-finals.

Rihanna and Christina Aguilera Spark Complaints For Raunchy Performances on X Factor

Pop divas Rihanna and Christina Augilera's X Factor performances have sparked a series of complaints.

The Daily Mail newspaper reported that over 1,000 complaints were made about the singer's performances including their duets for being unsuitable for pre-watershed viewing.

The director of Mediawatch UK, Vivienne Pattison said: "I don’t think it was suitable for a pre-watershed broadcast, I think that’s quite clear.

"It was the simulated sexual stuff, that was the problem. I think Ofcom should look into this. Whether The X Factor like it or not they are commanding audiences of more than 19 million.

"They are role models whether they like it or not."

An investigation by the Office of Communications is said to have been launched.

X Factor Final Results

Matt Cardle has been crowned the X Factor winner.

Last night's face off viewed by 19.4 million viewers came down to Rebecca Ferguson after One Direction was voted off earlier on the night.

The once favourite Cher Lloyd settled in fourth place as she was eliminated from the competition on Saturday night.

The final 12 contestants rushed to the stage to congratulate the star before Matt sang his last teary words.

Pop diva Rihanna also congratulated Matt on twitter yesterday with this message.

“Congratulations Matt! U da s***! I knew it!”

The Extra Factor revealed that the Essex singer had the highest votes per week accept for one week where Mary Byrne topped the votes.

The X Factor finalist' celebrity duets for this week's final are rumoured to be Rihanna, Robbie Williams, Will.i.am and Christina Aguilera.

Reports have hinted that Matt Cardle will be pairing up with Pop singer Christina Aguilera.

Black Eyed Peas star Will.i.am is expected to team up with Cher Lloyd.

The X Factor final kicks off on Saturday at 7pm on ITV1.

X Factor had a shocking bottom two in the semi final show last night, with Cheryl's girl Cher Lloyd and Louis' contestant Mary Bryne.

Mary sang her favourite song on the show 'This Is A Man's World' whilst Cher sang Britney Spear's song 'Everytime'.

Mary, 50 was booted off by judges Danni Minogue, Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell, recieving only one vote from her mentor.

Cheryl Cole said: "This is really difficult because Mary you have always touched me with your vocal and you know that.

“You are two completely different acts that we would not compare in the real world.

“But Cher is my girl and I backed her from the start and I will until the end.”

With the deciding vote, Simon Cowell said: "This is quite straightforward. Mary I have supported you from the beginning and tonight proved what a good singer you are.

"Cher, I actually liked that song you just sang. It was like hearing you for the first time. The act I'm sending through to the final is Cher."
