Soulja Boy Claims To Writing Willow Smith's Single 'Whip My Hair'

US rapper Soulja Boy has claimed on Twitter that he was the writer behind Willow Smith's hit single 'Whip My Hair'.

He wrote: "YES ITS TRUE I WROTE "WHIP MY HAIR" FOR WILLOW SMITH. THATS WHY SHE SAYS HOP OUT THE BED TURN MY SWAG ON. WE GETTING $$$ 2011 NO GAMES (sic)"

WENN reports that the songwriters credited with creating Smith's single is Ronald Jackson and Janae Rockwell however Soulja Boy is rumoured to have trademarked the phrase "turn my swag on", which could result in royalties being owed to the rapper.

Smith's representatives have yet to comment on the claims.

Soulja Boy Happy To Be Friends With 50 Cent

U.S rapper Soulja Boy has revealed that he's glad to have a friendship with fellow rapper 50 Cent.

The 20-year-old rapper revealed to MTV's Rap Fix Live, "To have 50 have my back, that's definitely exciting, it's an achievement. 50 don't mess with no rappers."

"When I came out, a lot of people was hating on me, felt like I wasn't real to the game - don't hate the player, hate the game - [but] 50 shed light on me and he came to my defence."

"He just wants me to do my thang. Me being 20 years old, he just always gives me advice and tips so I won't make the same mistakes he made when he was young. Ain't really no other older rapper did that, except for my homie Gucci [Mane]," he added.
