Janet Jackson Confirms World Tour

R&B singer Janet Jackson has confirmed plans for a world tour.

The singer will play 35 dates worldwide where she will perform each of her 35 number one hits.

A statement from Janet was released on her official website saying: "During the past several months I've had such wonderful experiences. I've released my Number Ones CD...and throughout this time I've heard from you - my fans - whom I cherish dearly.

"Many have asked when I will tour again - well today I'm really excited to answer that question, and I announce my largest ever world tour, celebrating 35 number ones.

"This tour will be different from those of the past in the way that I will exclusively perform songs from my number ones. You'll hear all the hits in 35 cities, which I want you to help me select."

She added: "Wherever possible I will perform in venues that will allow me to be up close so that I can be with you in a much more intimate setting."

After fans submitted their suggestion to the star's official website, the first city announced for the jaunt is Hong Kong, where she will perform next year on February 14. Further dates are expected to follow shortly.

Jackson promised earlier this year that she would perform in UK in the near future.

Janet Jackson Furious With Oprah

Janet Jackson is said to be "furious" with Oprah Winfrey for interviewing her brother Michael's children on her chatshow, claiming Oprah used her family to increase the programme's ratings.

A source revealed to the National Enquirer: "Janet is furious. She thinks Oprah took advantage of Michael's children for TV ratings. Janet told her Michael would be heartsick that Oprah used his kids as pawns.

"The two women had a blistering blow-up during a telephone call on the day that the show was taped. When Oprah made it clear that she was going ahead with the interview, Janet screamed, 'Oprah, you make me sick!'"

The insider continued: "Janet is closer to Tyler, and Oprah knows it. Now Janet is threatening to use that friendship to get back at Oprah. Janet has let Oprah know that Tyler has been very candid about sharing Oprah's secrets with her - and Oprah's definitely got secrets. Janet is so outraged that she's not above getting back at Oprah by spreading those secrets."
